Meager and null ideals are not alone
We present motivation and background of attempts to
characterize the two classical ideals on the real line:
- the ideal of meager sets, and
- the ideal of Lebesgue measure zero sets.
We will present recent results showing that these two objects are not
unique (which answers a question of Kunen).
The talk will be aimed at a general mathematical audience.
