Junior WVU Math Club

With support of many WVU math faculty members, Charis Tsikkou and I are organizing the Junior WVU Math Club, a series of weekly meetings for Morgantown area high-school students. The sessions are centered around a mix of olympiad problem solving and lectures on mathematical topics that complement the high-school math curriculum. We are grateful for the support of MAA, through a Dolciani Enrichment Grant.

Integration Bee

With generous support from the WVU Math Department and the WVU Math Club, Charis Tsikkou and I are organizing the WVU Integration Bee competition, open to all WVU students.

This is an annual competition, consisting of a written qualifier and a single-elimination blackboard tournament, open to spectators.

Winner and runner-up will be awarded $100 and $50 WVU Bookstore certificates!

Other Integration Bees (with sample problems):  MIT    Wisconsin    Florida    Youngstown

The qualifier for the 2018 Integration Bee will take place on March 22 at 6pm in Armstrong 315. The final is on April 5 at 6pm in the same room.

Here are the rules, poster, and last year's qualifier.
