MFIX is a general-purpose hydrodynamic model that describes chemical reactions and heat transfer in dense or dilute multiphase flows which are at the core of most fossil energy (FE) technologies. In this talk, he will review MFIX’s mathematical models for the fluid and three solids models; describe the numerical solution methodologies employed; and discuss the code applications of interest to the energy industry
