Actuarial First Meeting

Math Department Actuarial Student Club will have our spring organization meeting this Tuesday, 9/12/2017, at 3:30pm in Armstrong Hall room 313! Light refreshment will be provided.

You will meet fellow members of the Club who passed one or two actuarial exams. You can get first hand information about the actuarial profession from them. You will also meet our new officers (President and Vice President of the Club) and hear their exam preparation tips.

If you are interested in learning more information about the Actuarial exams, Actuarial profession, and/or Actuarial Student Club, please stop by. You will meet fellow members of the Club who passed one or two actuarial exams, and hear their exam preparation tips. You can request to join the e-mail list of the actuarial club, by sending an e-mail to actuarialclub@math.wvu.edu.

The Actuarial Club's primary goal is to help our students prepare the actuarial exams and obtain the skills that they need in order to succeed in their future career as an actuary. Some of these skills may not be explicitly taught in the classes. We aim to assist our students with things such as exam studying tips, interviewing and internship experiences, technical skill workshops. Various events that we intend to host throughout the semester include:
